Charts in Cambrionix Connect

Introduction

Cambrionix Connect's Charts feature provides users with a powerful tool for visualising data related to your connected devices and hubs. These charts offer insights into charging performance, device health, and overall system efficiency, facilitating informed decision-making and proactive management. This guide explores how to access and interpret these charts within Cambrionix Connect.

Accessing Charts

  1. Navigate to Your Hub: From the Cambrionix Connect dashboard, select the 'Hubs' tab and choose the hub for which you wish to view charts.
  2. Select the Charts Option: Within the hub's detailed view, find and click on the 'Charts' section. This will display various charts related to the selected hub.

Types of Charts and Their Insights

Cambrionix Connect provides several types of charts, each offering unique insights:

  • Hub Charging Performance: Illustrates the charging rates (in mA) for devices connected to the hub over time. Use this chart to identify charging efficiency and detect any anomalies in power delivery.
    • Note that the information displayed here relates to the device, not the hub’s port it’s connected to. Meaning that if a device is moved to another port or hub, the history of that device will remain attached to the previous chart.
  • Hub Health History: Displays the hub's internal temperature and voltage over time. Monitoring these parameters helps in preventing overheating and ensuring the hub operates within safe electrical limits.

Interpreting Charts

  • Time Selection: Charts in Cambrionix Connect allow you to select different time frames for the data presented. This feature enables users to view historical data or focus on recent activity for detailed analysis.
  • Zoom and Pan: Users can zoom in on specific sections of a chart for a closer look at the data. Panning across different time periods is also supported, providing a comprehensive view of trends over time.
  • Colour Coding: Each device or metric is represented by a unique colour on the chart. Refer to the legend to match the colours with the corresponding devices or metrics.

Best Practices for Using Charts

  • Regular Monitoring: Regularly review the charts to stay informed about the health and performance of your devices and hubs.
  • Identify Trends: Look for patterns or trends in the data that may indicate the need for maintenance or adjustments to your charging strategies.
  • Performance Benchmarks: Use the charts to establish performance benchmarks for your devices and hubs. Consistent deviations from these benchmarks may require further investigation.
