Accessing and Managing Device Information in Cambrionix Connect

Introduction​

Cambrionix Connect offers a comprehensive platform for managing and monitoring connected devices. Accessing device information is essential for understanding device status, managing firmware updates, and optimising device performance. This article provides a guide on how to access and interpret device information within Cambrionix Connect.

Accessing Device Information​

  1. Navigate to Devices: From the Cambrionix Connect dashboard, click on the 'Devices' tab to view all connected devices. This section provides a centralised view of all devices managed through your Cambrionix hubs.
  2. Select a Device: Click on a specific device to access detailed information. The device information page displays various parameters and status indicators for the selected device.

Understanding Device Information​

The device information page provides comprehensive data about each connected device, including:

  • Charging Status and Rates: View the current charging status and rate in mA. This helps in monitoring the charging efficiency and identifying any issues with power delivery.
  • Serial Number or UDID: Unique device identifiers are displayed, allowing for easy tracking and management of individual devices.
  • Device Health: Information on battery health and other critical parameters can be accessed, aiding in proactive maintenance and device management.
  • USB Information: View connectivity details, including USB port usage and connection type, to ensure optimal data transfer and synchronisation.

Managing Devices​

Cambrionix Connect allows for efficient management of devices through the platform, including:

  • Port Management: Control and configure the mode of each port (Charge, Sync, Off, etc.) to match your specific requirements.
  • Firmware Updates: Manage and apply firmware updates directly from the platform.
  • Custom Scripts and Commands: Utilise Cambrionix CLI scripts, Python, or JSON to send custom commands for advanced management.
