The ThunderSync5-C16 PD has been designed to provide high-speed data transfer to USB compliant devices and to expand the endpoint limits of your host system.
The ThunderSync5-C16 PD can charge attached USB devices with or without a local computer. It allows any USB compliant device to be charged at its optimum rate (up to 3 A standard; USB Power Delivery up to 60 W per port where supported). The firmware can be updated to ensure the hub can manage the latest devices. It is ready to charge out-of-the-box and sync devices when attached to a host computer.
When a local (host) computer is attached, the host can control the operation of each port using software provided by Cambrionix. Device charging and synchronisation can be monitored through Cambrionix Connect, the Application Programming Interface (API) or Command Line Interface (CLI). Cambrionix monitoring and control software can be found on connect.cambrionix.com.
The ThunderSync5-C16 PD includes a Thunderboltâ„¢ 5 connection to the host. It supports speeds of up to 5 Gbps for devices capable of SuperSpeed USB operation and up to 480 Mbps for devices that support Hi-Speed USB. The upstream link runs at up to 80 Gbps (Thunderbolt 5).
